National Federation of the Blind to Hold THE CANE EVENT

President Signs Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act

Washington, D.C. (January 5, 2011): The National Federation of the Blind today commended President Barack Obama for signing into law the Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act (S. 841), which will protect the blind and other pedestrians from injury as a result of silent vehicle technology.

Blind Woman Files Employment Discrimination Suit against Amazon.com

Detroit (September 3, 2019): Maryann Murad, a blind Howell resident, and the National Federation of the Blind, the nation’s oldest and largest organization of blind Americans, have filed suit in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan against Amazon.com for employment discrimination.
